On the 12 September 2022, Wicken Archers carried out a Black Arrow Volley as a tribute to the the late Queen. Shafts, vanes, and fletchings were appropriately amended for the evening with recurves and longbows shooting the volley together.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022)
We would like to extend our condolences to all of the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, patron of the British Olympic Association and Royal Toxophilite Society.
Her Majesty has been the Royal Toxophilite Society’s longest-serving patron. A keen supporter of UK and Commonwealth sporting endeavours her interest and backing will be much missed.
Harvest time at Wicken Archery – bumper crop of Beginners’ Courses
We have four (!) beginners’ courses scheduled for this autumn. Each is of 2 consecutive Sunday afternoons 13:30 to 16:15. The courses are planned for:
- 18th and 25th September,
- 2nd and 9th October,
- 23rd and 30th October
- 13th and 20th November.
We provide all the equipment required for the course, which are all outdoors at Wicken Sports Ground. Juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the course.
